Workers Injured at Tyson Foods Plant

An anhydrous ammonia leak at a Tyson Foods plant in Kansas left two workers injured and caused an emergency evacuation of the facility on Thursday.

One of the injured workers was treated at the plant and the other was taken to the hospital in an ambulance according to local authorities.

Tyson continues to tout its emphasis on employee safety despite a long and sordid track record of workplace safety violations resulting in injuries and deaths.

This Change.org petition with 36,000 signatures from former Tyson employees provides tragic insight into the real working conditions at Tyson.

When you buy Tyson products, you’re supporting unspeakable cruelty to animals, air and water pollution, and unsafe working conditions. If those outcomes don’t reflect your values, stop buying Tyson.
