  1. I tend not to leave a response, but after reading through a few of the responses on The Animal
Rights Community Responds to “Squirrel Slam” | Kirschner’s Korner. I do have 2 questions for you if you don’t mind.
Is it simply me or do a few of the responses
appear like they are left by brain dead people? 😛 And, if
you are writing on other sites, I would like to keep up with anything fresh you
have to post. Would you make a list of every one of your
social pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?

      1. Hi, Andrew. Did you know that the next Holley, NY Squirrel Slam is scheduled for February 22, 2014? Apparently, the Holley Fire Department is keeping this information close to the vest, but an article appeared in the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle about it http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/news/local/2014/01/26/holley-squirrel-slam-set-for-feb-22/4918537/

They apparently made so much more money on it last year because of all of the publicity, they’re doing it again this year.

There is an activist from Long Island, NY, Richard Brummel, who is leading an effort to stop the hunt through the courts. He had tried last year, but had come into it too late to take such action. This year he has more lead time and has found an attorney from Rochester, NY who is working pro bono. But, there will still be court costs, filing fees, etc. Richard has set up an Indiegogo.com campaign to raise funds for this — http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/squirrel-hunt-legal-fund-holley-ny

I know this issue is important to you, so I thought you and your readers should be informed.
