Free Sea Shepherd Captain Paul Watson

Sea Shepherd Captain Paul Watson was recently arrested in Germany on a decade-old warrant from Costa Rica for allegedly entering a restricted area at sea during the 2002 filming of Sharkwater, a documentary that won 31 international awards. The incident occurred when Sea Shepherd found an illegal Costa Rican shark-finning operation. He is currently being detained in Germany where he is awaiting extradition to Costa Rica.

Please email Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger, the Federal Minister of Justice, at  and Dr. Guido Westerwelle, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, at and politely ask them to release Captain Watson. His arrest is purely political and driven by the forces seeking to exploit and slaughter marine life.

*Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Their mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.
